Acqua is a sea-life avant-garde restaurant focusing on the Italian coast lines in the space adjacent to Saint Stephen by James Beard Award Winner Chef RJ Cooper.
For August and September we will be offering a smaller "menù degustazione" of 12 course. Our Chef Table menu is 16 to 18 courses.
Acqua offers 2 wine pairings. Our Acqua pairing is $125.00 per guest and the Reserva Pairing is $185 per guest.

RJ Cooper has forged a critically acclaimed culinary career leading to the opening of Saint Stephen and is on the forefront of modern American cuisine. His daily work ethic is still fueled by the satisfaction of creating inspired dishes and leading the StS team.
Chef’s culinary philosophy of dedication, determination, focus and finesse and fostered by the land and sea, the sense of place in Middle Tennessee. The kind of ingredient cooking and modern techniques he has been studying his entire career.
RJ is a James Beard Award for Best Chef Mid Atlantic and has several nominations. Chef owned 2 critically acclaimed restaurants in Washington DC. He now calls Nashville his home & is a firm believer in using local fresh ingredients to create dishes inspired by his years of cross country adventures.
Saint Stephen, his restaurant in the vibrant Germantown neighborhood, is no exception to this belief and his creative obsession. StS’s ever evolving menu and avant-garde Secret Society tasting counter, RJ and his team, are crafting inspired new adventures for every guest.
Dress: Dress smartly, men please don’t wear shorts, open toe shoes or ball caps
Dietary Needs: We focus our cuisine on sea life creatures and do to the nature we cannot commit to dietary restrictions. Please let us know 72 hours notice of the reservations for any allergies. We cannot commit to shellfish and fin fish allergies. We do not have a vegetarian menu options.
Reservations: We take reservations two months in advance. We release reservation dates on the first Monday of the 2nd month. Reservations are through here or exploretock.com/acquanashville. The price of the experience is $125.00 per guest of 10 to 12 courses and the Chef's Table Experience is $185.00 per guest of 14 to 18 courses. All sales are final, however, the reservation may be transferred to another guest. Due to the demand of curating our sea life creatures, we cannot reschedule reservations for this experience without a 2 week notice.
If your party is later than 15 minutes, your table will be defaulted to the next seating.
Party Size: Acqua has a small, intimate dining room, we do not take reservations for parties over 4 guests. We do have a chef’s table that may be book for 4 to 8 guests.
Corkage Fee: We do allow guests to bring their own wines, the fee is $50 per bottle with a maximum of 2 bottles. A fee of $70 per bottle for 3 or more. A wine and spirits pairing experience is available for $100.00 per guest our Reserva pairing is $185.00 per guest. Our beverage program celebrates Italy, however, wine, beer and cocktails outside of our menu is available from the Saint Stephen program.
An additional 23% service charge is added to each check. This charge helps with the equality of pay for our teams.
